Year you started working in the veterinary field: I first entered the veterinary field in 2007 via the United States Army at my first duty station in Seoul, South Korea. I was assigned to the veterinary hospital on base where our primary mission was to ensure all the medical needs of the military working dogs either stationed there or transitioning were being attained. Our secondary mission was to take care of all medical needs for the privately owned animals by the service members and their families on base.
Dream Vacation: I would love to visit Egypt and see the pyramids. I love learning about ancient civilizations and the lost knowledge they acquired.
If I could be any animal I would be: A black panther. I view them as majestic, intricate, vigorous and an untamed species.
Best way to spend a Saturday: I would love to wake up near the beach to watch the sunrise, then go on a meditative bike ride on the boardwalk. Spending time with loved ones while bonding over board games and sharing meaningful life experiences. Hiking and/or exploring the area would also be a fun event, followed up by a seafood dinner. Lastly, watching the sunset would be an amazing way to conclude the perfect Saturday.
Who are your heroes in real life? My two heroes are Dr. Joe Dispenza and Dr. Brene Brown. Dr. Joe Dispenza is a well- known neuroscientist, chiropractor, teacher and best-selling author. His main area of focus is rewiring/ reprogramming our brains to unlock the best version of ourselves and lead our most abundant lives. His teachings have had an incredible impact on my life and mind perspective. Dr. Brene Brown is a professor, lecturer, podcast host and also a best-selling author. I have enjoyed reading all of her books with my favorite being "The Power of Vulnerability.” Her research and insight into genuine human interaction and connection has helped me tremendously with creating deeper and more fulfilling relationships.
