Veterinary Technician
Mickayla
Where did you grow up? I was born and raised in Mesa, Arizona. I am a desert girl, used to sweating all summer and laughing when people think 90 degrees is hot.
Year you started working in the veterinary field: In 2020, I started my journey as a veterinary receptionist. Having never worked in a veterinary hospital before, I was determined to learn everything I could. I studied and worked hard to become a veterinary technician, and I continue my journey every day and with every new patient.
Favorite part of working with animals? Building bonds with all of the furry friends! All of my life I have felt very close to animals. Knowing that everyday my job allows me to see another furry friend fills my heart with joy.
If I could be any animal I would be: A panda. The giant panda bears are amazing in every way; from their strong, fierce stature, to their beautiful black and white fur and playful personalities. Lounging around all day eating bamboo, climbing trees and swimming in the rivers – that is the life!
Favorite movie featuring animals: The Lion King classic Disney movie warmed my heart as a child. Hakuna Matata!
