Where did I grow up: I grew up in Fremont, CA which is the East Bay of San Francisco.  After my first son was born we moved to Tacoma, WA then finally settled in Peoria, AZ. I now live in an awesome tiny apartment with my best friend, Annabelle, a redbone coonhound.

If I could be any animal I would be: A dog for sure, probably a working bloodhound. I like to be useful and pride myself in a job well done and I can usually find things when other people can’t. I am a champion Afikomen finder, but sleeping is one of my favorite things just like a bloodhound.

My first pet: My first pet was a tri-color beagle named Tootsie who I loved very much. My little brother was allergic to her and I had to re-home her to a family friend. I was devastated, that was 40 years ago and I’m still mad at my brother.

My heroes in real life: My dad is my hero in real life. He owned a business his whole life where he taught me how to be professional, be fair, to never overlook a standard and that a good work ethic should be applied in everything you do in life. He also sets such a good example in being healthy, as of this writing he has worked out 6,153 days, in a row, YES-16 years, 10 months and 5 days but who’s counting!

Favorite part of working with animals: By far my favorite part of working with animals is I get to be their advocate, I’ve always felt a deep connection to animals especially dogs. I also get to be surrounded by people that feel the same way I do and we all try to go out of our way to show each animal love and empathy for what they are going through.
